‘Making Tracks - Discover the West Coast Mainline’ Exhibition Details

Posted by Paul Boyland on

Many of us have waited a long time to be able to see an exhibition in person, so now is the perfect time to do so! 'Making Tracks – Discover the West Coast Main Line' will be hosted in the Chester Cathedral by Pete Waterman OBE.

The event will have a £2.50 entrance fee (for all ages 3+).

Photo opportunities will be available with your own locomotive on the famous 64ft layout. This will cost £5.00 and your locomotive has to be DCC Fitted to run on the layout. Analouge locomotives can be positioned on the layout for photographs (but cannot run). The layout can be seen here.

Pete Waterman will be present at most days of the event. If he is, he will be signing books that you can buy at the event. If you would like to know if he will be there on the day you are visiting, email us at shop@chestermodelcentre.com .

Making Tracks also features Nicky Thompson’s Marvellous Days Out Railway Poster Exhibition - courtesy of the Mid Cheshire and North Cheshire Community Rail Partnerships

The event will run from 16th July - 3rd September, 10am-5pm (Last entry 4:15pm).

Tickets can be purchased on arrival at the Cathedral, or can be pre-booked in advance here.
