Połtawa was a Russian battleship (so-called dreadnought) from World War I, the interwar period and World War II. The keel was laid under this vessel in 1909, it was launched in July 1911, and it was commissioned for service in December 1914. The full displacement of the ship at the time of launching was about 25,000 tons, her length - 181.2 meters, and width - 26.9 meters. The maximum speed of the vessel did not exceed 23-24 knots. The ship's deck armament at the time of launching consisted of: 12 305 mm guns, 16 120 mm guns and 4 450 mm torpedo tubes.
